The quality of your waxing experience depends on both professional technique and what happens before and after your appointment.
PREPARATION
Prepare for Your Wax
- Hair length: approximately one-quarter inch.
- Skin: clean, healthy, and free from active irritation or sunburn.
- Exfoliation: gentle exfoliation 24 to 48 hours prior.
- Products: avoid retinoids, strong acids, and other sensitizing products as directed.
- Communication: disclose medications, recent procedures, pregnancy, allergies, and skin concerns.
FIRST 24–48 HOURS
Protect Freshly Waxed Skin
- Avoid excessive heat and sweating.
- Avoid tight clothing and friction.
- Avoid fragranced products on the area.
- Avoid swimming, hot tubs, and direct sun.
- Do not pick, scratch, or aggressively exfoliate.
LONG-TERM CARE
Maintain Smooth, Healthy Skin
- Exfoliate consistently but gently.
- Hydrate the skin daily.
- Use an ingrown-hair treatment as directed.
- Maintain a regular waxing schedule.
- Contact the studio if an unusual reaction occurs.
